Prof. Stefan Funk of Stanford University Physics Dept. and SLAC will give the Nov. 30 Applied Physics/Physics colloquium entitled, "The Extreme Universe Observed in Gamma Rays." Prof. Funk will describe how recent observations with gamma-ray instruments have unraveled some of the physical processes behind the extreme Universe and what the future holds for this field.
